Luis Mata is an ecologist, entomologist and science communicator based on the shores of Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne. His work focuses on urban nature, complex ecological systems, sustainable agriculture and citizen science.
He is Co-Founder and Head of Research & Operations at Lookfar Research and a researcher with the Biodiverse Cities Research Group at the University of Melbourne. Luis is passionate about insects, nature photography and community environmental initiatives, including the Bayside Pollinator Corridor.

Craig Francis is the Treasurer and a Board of Management member for 88.3 Southern FM, a community radio station based in Brighton. He is best known as the presenter of the Friday afternoon show, Friday On My Mind which features interviews and a lively mix of music

Clancy Lester is a passionate environmental educator specialising in native bee conservation, pollinator-friendly plants, and science communication. His research explores native bee–flower interactions in remote East Arnhem Land using ecological fieldwork and DNA metabarcoding.
Through the social enterprise Bees and Blossoms, Clancy creates native bee habitats, runs educational workshops and advocates for nature-based climate solutions. His work focuses on protecting pollinators and helping communities rewild the places we live.

Simon Mustoe is a wildlife ecologist, conservation communicator and founder of Wildiaries. His work focuses on explaining how animals shape ecosystems and why these relationships are vital for human wellbeing.
Originally from the UK, Simon began his career working on natural history films and marine wildlife surveys before moving to Australia, where he spent over a decade as a marine wildlife consultant. Today he works across travel media and conservation, producing films, writing and storytelling that reconnect people with nature. He is the author of Wildlife in the Balance.
